- Log into your Wordpress Admin area.
- Click on the "NEX-Forms" menu item from the admin sidebar.

Click on the "Settings" menu item in the NEX-Forms Dashboard OR Click on the "NEX-Forms » Settings" menu item from the WordPress admin sidebar.

The preset setup is found in the second setup panel in the NEX-Forms Global Settings admin page.

Setting up default presets/prefference
Give yourself a head start by setting up your personalized default presets and preferences. With presets in place, you won't need to configure details like the email recipient list for each new form or the validation error messages for every new field.
Learn how to save yourself time by setting up your own default presets.
NOTE: Default presets do not take affect on any already created and saved forms. Presets only appllies to NEW forms.
Where to find the NEX-Forms presets
Setting up default email presets
- Click on the "EMAIL PRESETS" tab in the presets setup panel.

This will bring up the settings for Admin Email Notification Presets as well as the settings for User Notification Email Presets:
Admin Email Presets settings list: Setting Function Default From Address Sets the default from address. WP Settings » General » [Administration Email Address] From Name Sets the default name from where the email has been sent. WP Settings » General » [Site Title] Recipients Sets the default recipients list of email addresses to recieve admin email alerts. WP Settings » General » [Administration Email Address] Subject Sets the default subject for the email. WP Settings » General » [Site Title] - NEX-Forms Submission Mail Body Sets the default HTML or plain text email body for admin emails. {{nf_form_data}} NOTE: {{nf_form_data}}, as demonstrated in the default admin email body preset above, is indeed a NEX-Forms Smart Data Tag. This specific data tag, when included in your email templates or PDFs, efficiently organizes and presents all the submitted form data in a structured table format. Setting up default Form Presets
- Click on the "FORM PRESETS" tab in the presets setup panel.

This will bring up the settings for default Form Presets:
Form Preset settings list: Setting Function Default Form Background Sets up the default background for a form. #FFFFFF (white) Form Shadow Sets up the default shadow drop for a form to: Light, Dark, None Light Form Padding Sets up the default padding for a form in pixels. 30 Form Border Radius Sets up the default border radius for a form in pixels. 4 On-screen confirmation message Sets up the default HTML or plain text On-screen Success Massage when a user completes a form. Setting up default Field Presets
- Click on the "FIELD PRESETS" tab in the presets setup panel.

This will bring up the settings for default Form Field Presets:
Field Label Presets settings list: Setting Function Default Label Position Sets the default field label position to: Top, Left, Right or Hidden Top Label Text Alignment Sets the default label text alignment to: Left, Right or Center Left Label Size Sets the default label size to: Small, Normal or Large Normal Show Sublabel Sets to show or hide field sublabels by default No (sublabels are hidden) Field Inputs Presets settings list: Setting Function Default Input Text Alignment Sets the default input text alignment to: Left, Right or Center Left Input Size Sets the default input size to: Small, Normal or Large Normal Date Picker Format Sets the default date format for Date Picker Fields DD/MM/YYYY Date Picker Language Sets the default language for Date Picker Fields en (English) - After setting up the default field presets click on "SAVE FIELD PRESETS"
Setting up default Field Validation Error Message Presets
- Click on the "VALIDATION PRESET PRESET" tab in the presets setup panel.

This will bring up the settings for default Form Field Presets:
Validation Error Message Preset settings list: Setting Function Default Message Required Field Sets up the default error message when a users fails to complete a required validated field. Required Incorect Email Sets up the default error message when a users enters an incorrect email format in an email validated field. Invalid email address Incorect Phone Number Sets up the default error message when a users enters an incorrect phone number format in a phone number validated field. Invalid phone number Incorect URL Sets up the default error message when a users enters an incorrect URL format in an URL validated field. Invalid URL Numerical Sets up the default error message when a users enters any alphabetical characters in a numbers only validated field. Only numbers are allowed Alphabetical Sets up the default error message when a users enters any digital characters in a text only validated field. Only text are allowed Incorect File Extension Sets up the default error message when a users uploads a file with a file extension that is not in your upload field's allowed extension list. Invalid file extension Maximum File Size Exceeded Sets up the default error message when a users uploads a file with larger byte size then specified in your file upload field. Maximum File Size of {x}MB Exceeded Minimum File Size Required Sets up the default error message when a users uploads a file with a smaller byte size then specified in your file upload field. Minimum File Size of {x}MB Required Maximum Size for All Files Exceeded Sets up the default error message when a users uploads multiple files with larger collective byte size then specified in your file upload field. Maximum Size for all files can not exceed {x}MB Maximum File Upload Limit Exceeded Sets up the default error message when a users tries to uploads more fiels then specified in your upload field's maximum allowed files. Only a maximum of {x} files can be uploaded - After setting up the default validation error message presets click on "SAVE VALIDATION PRESETS"
