Creating your first form
With your plugin now successfully installed, registered, and your presets configured just the way you like them, you're ready to create your very first form using the NEX-Forms Form Builder.
Your first form blueprint
In this article you will learn how to create the exact same form you see here below in a few minutes or less. This form example was created using the NEX-Forms default presets
STEP 1: Create a new Blank Form
- Log into your Wordpress Admin area.
- Click on the "NEX-Forms" menu item from the admin sidebar.

Click on "Add a New Form"

Stay in the "Blank" tab and give your form a title.

With your Form Title in place click on "CREATE"

The NEX-Forms form editor now will open and this where you will be adding some fields to your newly created blank
form canvas.
STEP 2: Add fields to the form
Add a field by clicking on the field in the tools menu or by dragging the field from the menu into position inside the form.

Add a Name Field.

Add an Email Field.

Add a Query Field.

Add a Submit Button.
STEP 3: Preview the form
With your form completed you can preview it before going live.

Click on Split to give yourself a realtime preview of your form while you are building it.

A realtime preview of your form will be opened side by side with the form editor while you are building it.
- Click on the X in the top rigth corner of the preview when you are done previewing the form.
STEP 4: Save the form
Once you are done building and previewing your form save it. Save a form by clicking on the "SAVE" button or by hitting CTRL+S on your keyboard.
STEP 4: Publish the form
You are now ready to make the form live by emdedding the form in your WordPress site.

Click on "EMBED" from main menu.

Copy the NEX-Forms inline shortcode.
- Create or edit your existing WP Post or Page, for example, your Contact Us page.

Paste the NEX-Forms shortcode into your page where you need the form.
- Publish/Update your WordPress post or page.
